Satori

I’ve posted the first game I designed, Satori, in complete print-and-playable format; it has a special place of honor in the sidebar. If you’re not in the habit of scanning the sidebar every day for changes (go figure), here’s the announcement.

I can help you to theme this game if you want me to. The rules would be written in the style of an illuminated gospel…

“It is the year of the Feast of Rhapsody and the Harmonious Wheel has descended from the Symphonious Heavens to test the virtue of the adherents of Satori. The acolytes of this ancient creed have assembled to demonstrate their mastery of the five Pillars of Satori.”

At present, I guess the pillars would be Water, Stone, Light, Flame, and Nature, but we could probably re-theme those if necessary, right? Part of me wants to see if we could come up with enough words related to music and poetry so that the five pillars could be Harmony, Cadence, Verse, Resonance, and Intonation.

I like it, a lot… and I like the musical theme for the doubles.
    How about Melody (green), Harmony(yellow), Cadence(blue), Dissonance(purple), and… something… for red.
